Autism Awareness

My sister sent a beautiful poem to me for Christmas regarding Autism, which I read at work. I was a weeping [thank goodness I don't wear mascara - would have looked like a raccoon!] wretch! It made me appreciate and feel blessed for what I have even more than ever. Moreover, it made me feel a great deal of compassion and ... I can't think of a strong enough word ... but the amount of strength that it must take to be a parent of a child that is Autistic or has Downs Syndrome or any other type of affliction. My nephew is autistic and he has 1 brother and 2 sisters. I don't think I ever gave my sister the credit until I read that poem. Honestly, I don't know if I would have the strength. I do know that she calls me up elated to tell me that Bobby said a new word - or ate something different! Fairies a Flying

Ah, what a beautiful day it is! Well, ok, I haven't really looked outside yet. But I'll be an optimist this morning. I live in Kentucky so it's not like we have a "real" winter where it snows and stays white all winter. Yes, I am one of "those" that like snow in the winter time. Just finished a request for fairies. I wasn't sure exactly what kind so I did what I could with what I have. There are approximately 63 different fairies so hopefully you guys will like at least one of them. Well I think I will have a little something fun tomorrow so make sure you check back tomorrow! Star Gazing

I couldn't sleep last night and whipped up a few planets and things - odds and ends really. But maybe something someone could use. Not really sure how you can use the Nebula[s] but I thought they were kinda cool looking. I will be working on a few cartoons and some Thomas the Train [as requested] and will most likely have TTT done tomorrow. The cartoons may not be in any order as it can be a pain to categorize things. I have the tendency to throw everything into one folder and sometimes forget to categorize them as I go. Holiday Travelling

Hi all! I'm sure some of you travelled to get to family and friends this holiday. Me? I stayed home with my daughter and hubby. For the most part my family lives on the East Coast and I don't like to travel during the holiday seasons. To many chances to get stuck in an airport - Blah! Sorry to those that this happened to. Well, I have made up 149 travelling embellishments. I believe I got all states, but may have missed one or two - sorry if I did - just let me know and I'll do my best to get them. In the next couple of days I may post some "airport" ones for those that travelled by air. But than again ... maybe ... mmmm. AnyWHO - enjoy and have fun!

Flowers in the Winter Time!!!

Hope you all are having a beautiful, safe and fun holiday! The weather has been kind of bleak around here - probably better than some other states, so I really better not complain! I'm trying to get some of the requests done and thought I would change pace a little and hopefully brighten up the winter with some colorful flowers. I know that I am way behind on scrapping and probably won't get to my Christmas pics until some time in June! So if anyone is like me maybe these will help you all catch up! And then, maybe not. Dinosaurs Rule the Earth - Again!!!

Took the remainder of the week off from work and went to get the little girl her Christmas present[s]. The big present we got for her is a Step 2 Kitchen. Cutest darn thing! Has a sink, frig, oven, microwave, sink, cabinets, etc. It's made of that hard plastic and is about 4' high and 6' wide. Also got her a Step 2 Dining Table which has 2 chairs with it. Have the perfect place in the kitchen to put it! Gosh I hope she likes it! My son will most likely want cash [what 24 year old wouldn't?]. Just need to decide how much to give him. Pangburn's Poultry Party Platter!

I was on the phone with my sister when I noticed wild turkeys walking across my front yard. I told her that we had about 7 of them walking across our front lawn. She said we were luckyto be able to have so much "nature" around us [we live in a rural part of Kentucky - see deer, turkeys and coyote all the time]. After my sister and myself hung up my husband, daughter and myself started counting them as these fat wild turkeys pranced across the front lawn ... 1 .. 2 ... 3 ... 14 ... 27 ... 39 ... 43 ... we ended up seeing 47 turkeys! I had to call my sister back and tell her - ended up leaving a voice message on her machine letting her know. Several minutes later I answer the phone without looking at caller ID and I hear "Yes, is this the Pangburn's Poultry Party Platter Place? I would like to order a few turkeys..." Anyways, I thought it was funny. No posts today but I'll have one tomorrow. Just got busy playing around with my girl.

Animals Abound!

Ok ... I am going to stop while the going is good. I had a few more animals left but it was getting way to tedious to finish them! Hopefully there is something that you guys will like and can use. I have begun some gathering of cartoon[ish] items but they most likely won't be done for a day or so.

Animal Crackers

I am almost finished with the animals that were requested. Trying to get as many as I can so that it ranges from the normal kitty cat to ... say, a scorpion. I will most likely have them done by tomorrow afternoon. If not, I will post what I have and continue. Enjoy and come back tomorrow for the animals!!!
