To My Heroes

Funny, I was making up some military items in support of the men and woman that are doing what I don't think I would ever have the courage to do when someone requested some Air Force items. For the next couple of days I will be posting some "military" items. These will also consist of Fire Fighters, Police and other departments. I am hoping that I won't miss anyone so if you think that I might - PLEASE let me know!!! Ok, I am going to Chucky Cheese with the little girl today with a friend and her little boy so I gotta make this quick. Taking half the day off from work so I have to wrap things up here. Hopefully the first batch of items will be useful to you. There are 95 [or 96] items in the download. Unfortunately they aren't in any real order - Army mixed in with National Guard with a little Coast Guard mixed in with a little Air Force, etc. etc. Oh, and I will be posting a few "fun" things in between the military items. I hope everyone enjoys their day today. So, if you are interested you can Download Part 1 of ?.

Part 2 and a Little Venting

I have a question for you or maybe it's just a thought or perhaps just an observation or perhaps even just a little venting. Let me ask you all this: Would you consider it legal to take a picture of something that is located in a public area - where you could have no possible reasonable expectation of privacy - say a park, a sports arena or any other venue such as these? Would it be legal to use this photograph as you deem fit? The answer to these questions would be an emphatic YES! It is legal. If you are in an area such as these then you could not possibly have any reasonable expectation of any type of privacy. You must consider yourself in the public view and either behave accordingly [no streaking please!] or hide what you do not want to be seen [sorry, those toupees don't hide a thing!] Now, on the other hand, for example, if you are in a closed room [you know the kind...four walls, a ceiling and floor - perhaps even padded a little!] then you can have some reasonable expectation of privacy. My point being this. If it is in the public view ... then it is not private nor should it be considered so. But! If someone has to go over and beyond what is considered "normal" ... say ... scaling a fence, doing a little B&E or bribe someone in order to get something then I would say that you are doing something a tad bit illegal. So, if it is easily gained then it cannot possibly be private. I realize some of you are like...what?...what is she going on about? Suffice it to say, someone out there apparently wants to be a lawyer and thinks they know copyright laws. But before they speak please - oh please - GO TO LAW SCHOOL!!! Or at least, have the courtesy to email me with your name so we can have a discussion about what is legal and what is not. I tell ya, sometimes I just want to smack someone upside the head ... but Anon won't let me know who they are!!! Ok, this being said - Enjoy! PART 2 of 2.

Going to my Happy Place on Earth

I wish I was anyways. Not sure if this is the "happy place on earth" that was requested. But these are some things that I created for my trip a while ago that I made up from the pamplets that Disney sent me, as well as, pictures and old ticket stubs and such. I actually fancy the older look of things - you know, that antique look. There is something so calming in the color and weathered look...oh, sorry....going off on something totally different! Oh, and Pat from Houston I must ask dear girl! What, pray tell, were some of the things you came up with for MFTP! Mmmmm???? I don't know what I'm going to do next as no one has requested anything - and if you have and I haven't done it it means that I forgot what was requested. I swear, my memory has gone caput since I had my daugher. I'm lucky to know her name for Pete's sake! Although I do call her Josh every once in a while [that would be my sons name]. Pretty bad, I know. Trying to figure out how to get the brain cells back into gear. Happy Place #1

Nascar Papers

Ok, the last of the Nascar postings. These are the papers that I made up. Hopefully the people that requested them will like them. Like I said in an earlier post ... I know NOTHING about Nascar and racing cars. So hopefully they will be what you are looking for. If not, let me know what I did wrong or what I could have done better or what you were really looking for. You can Download Papers here. I was going to do some Micky Mouse Club stuff next but it appears that the copyright police are out to get me again. Wait a sec! What am I doing! I have a layout that I want to do for myself so why should I not do them? Right? Phfftttt [that would be me sticking out my tongue and giving a raspberry!]. Ok, peace out and enjoy.

Nascar Cars

Ok, here are the cars that go with the previous "Nascar" embellishment posting. If you are interested, you can Download Cars by clicking on the link. For whatever reason I can't upload 2 pictures at a time - blogger is having a slight issue with it. So I will be posting the papers in a few moments. Sorry about this but it can't be helped.

A Little Nascar

Hi all! Hope all is going good. Sorry, but I have been spending a lot of time with the hubby and the little girl the last couple of days. Dear ole hubby said that if I didn't get my nose out of the computer he would put a sledgehammer to it. Uhm, I'm hoping he meant the computer and not the nose! The look in his eyes told me that he wasn't kidding. I felt a tad bit warm and fuzzy when he threatened me. Just goes to show me that after all this time he still cares! Anyways and anywho ... As I said I would earlier, I just finished some Nascar racing items. I broke the items into 3 separate groups because I didn't want the downloads to be to large for the people that still may have dial up. Hey, don't laugh! I live in the boondocks and just got rid of dial up and got satellite a few months ago. I know there are still others out there that cringe when they see a huge download. For the first installment, if you are at all interested, you can Download Embells here. I will start uploading the papers and cars shortly. Ok, peace out for now.

A Magical Place

And this is why I start getting things organized in my mind well in advance! I drive my husband, family and friends nuts because I start something, change gears, do it totally different, change gears again...and on and on and on. But I know that I do this and that's why I do things early on. Ok, I love anything with puppets and muppets. As does the little girl. She loves the Sprites and I happen to love looking at Johnny. I'm married, not dead! And yes, I realize he is a tad bit younger than I am. Nothing wrong with fantasizing. I'm married to someone that is a little over 6 years younger than me. So I am thinking about doing her 2nd birthday with this theme. It's fun, magical and has a colorful twist to it that you can use any color within the theme and get away with it. Doesn't mean that I will not change my mind...but I think I might stick with this theme ... than again... might not. I swear Disney's Celebration Center just gives you way to many options. If you haven't checked out their website you really should - it's really neat. They have a lot of great free downloads that you can use. Anyways, let me know what you think of the Johnny and the Sprites theme items that I did - you can DOWNLOAD HERE to get a better look. Remember to use the password found to the right of this blog.

Kit by Andrea

Hi again, I received an email from Andrea who has created her first kit and has asked if I could post it on this blog. From what she has stated everything is original except that the papers were made using overlays created by Shauna Burke-Smith at Pineapple Plantation designs. Not exactly sure what that means but Andrea asked that I mention it. Please leave Andrea some really nice comments as this is her first kit and she did a great job! Plus, she said that she didn't plan on making anymore and if we all leave her some hugs, love and yes, even some kisses! she may change her mind and create another one! They are not in "zip" format and she has them compressed into rar files. Not a problem! Just Download WinRar. After installing WinRar you can get her kit by Downloading Kit Here. There are 21 papers, 20 elements, and 2 word arts in her kit.

Red Hat Society

Hi all. I received a request from someone that was in the Red Hat Society. I would like to thank EH a/k/a Viscountess of Discountess for asking me to do this. I hope she doesn't mind, but I want to share a part of what she emailed me as I found the "society" rather intriguing: "...I am a member of the "Red Hat Society", a group that was formed ten years ago to celebrate women over fifty. We dress in purple when we go out, with a red hat and lots of Bling. Each chapter has a queen. The other members of the group can choose a royal non-queen name. Different chapters do different things. The website http://www.redhatsociety.com/ tells the whole story. At the recent conference in Vegas, thousands of women, dressed in full regalia, performed a can-can on the strip attempting to break the Guinness Book of World's Records listing. Women younger than fifty can be pink hatters and wear lavendar clothing. We go to plays, teas, champagne breakfasts (in our purple pjs and red caps or bandanas). It is a wonderful organization that encourages older women to "live, love, laugh". Many of us have become "sisters" in a very real way. It is called a "disorganization" because we shun requirements, but many chapters have a historian to record the fun...." Now come on ladies! Who wouldn't want to do all this?!?!?! I hope the kit I made is up to their caliber and that they find it fun. If you are all interested, you can DOWNLOAD HERE. Peace out and enjoy your day!

Better Than a Couch Potato...

I suppose it would be better to be a potato head than a couch potato. I think. Mmmmm ... something to ponder my day away thinking about. I'm not sure if you can use them but 'm thinking that your kids may possibly have some fun with them more than anything. Especially if you are teaching them how to scrap and all. Or, they can just have a little fun with them. Than again, maybe you can't use them at all. No worries. Anyways, if you're at all interested in them you can DOWNLOAD HERE. There are eyes, eyebrows, ears, shoes, hair, hats arms, etc. Oh, do you remember the magnetic set of Mr. Potato head? You know, I think I will make a set for my daughter using these. I bought a couple of sheets of magnetic stripping at the Dollar Store that I have been itching to use. Here I come refrigerator!!! Ok, hope all is well! Keep smiling!
